A lot has happened since I last posted. The last three days have been so wonderful and healing for me. To be quite honest, unexpected blessings and random experiences seem to be the theme for this month. I’m still digesting and processing it all. Will definitely share once I understand it all.
But I will share the results, which have been blissful. I’m not sure how the people I’ve had these wonderful experiences with have taken them, but I know how I have… with gratitude.
I connected with someone completely unexpected – and in my usual fashion – I made space for whatever was supposed to be and was completely surprised. After more than a year of no intimacy, it was like a warm blanket that I hadn’t even known I needed. Pure bliss.
I also bonded with a really good friend. We’re both new-ish to the city and find support in our mutual love for it (the city) and sometimes it’s just nice to bounce random business and adulting ideas off someone with the same drive as you (yes, I’m ambitious… but I’m gentle with it;). Another great individual, I’ve been blessed with.
And today, I interviewed an incredible 63 year old artist that hangs out and paints at my local park. I am new to the cultural scene so it was extremely humbling for him to share his story of hope, blessings and creativity with me.
And just now, I had a conversation with a childhood friend from elementary school (we’ve known each other since we were 9 years old) who updated me on a surprise he organised for his wife while away on business. Why? To fill her cup so much to make it overflow so she has enough to give to their children. Incredible and I’m humbled by his dedication, devotion and commitment to his wife and children – even while he’s away working hard for business.
Yes, there are incredible men in the universe; and yes, the universe seems to be sending incredible men my way and I’m grateful. It’s beautiful to observe a man walking unapologetically in his truth and as a fellow human being, I’m here to support it!
Sunday prayer: May each of you reading this find the people meant for you and when it happens, I pray it’s as enjoyable an experience as it has been for me.
