One of the goals I’ve set for myself this year is to make the transition to a fully vegan/ plant-based diet, and after a shaky start (I’ve started working at this amazing pizza joint, so I had to try items off the menu…) I’ve cleared all the ‘no-go’ items out of my fridge and have started on this journey.

I made this decision because I have made 2023 the year of incessant and relentless self-improvement. I know those are some strong, fighting words, but I can assure you that (as with everything I do) I’m going to be gentle with it, going with the flow and seeing where I end up. So far, my skin feels amazing and I feel a lot lighter than I usually do.
With regards to my actual dietary menu, I’ve found that I’ve been enjoying salads again (you can literally dump anything in a salad and it’ll taste amazing). However, what I am really looking forward to is exploring more complicated plant-based recipes from all over the world. It’s still winter where I am, so I’m thinking the next few meals I try out might be soups.
A little help along this journey would be so very much appreciated. Send through any plant-based recipes that you love or think I should try out.
P.S. – Not giving up meat products forever. I just feel like my body/ system needs a break (and I’m all for listening to one’s body and giving it what it needs). I’ve just decided to be radically selective of when and what meat products to consume. Just thought I’d mention that 🙂
