As someone obsessed with cooking and all things related to the preparation of food, I am constantly researching for new resources to both inspire and improve my culinary skills. Here are my favourite food accounts on Instagram at the moment:
Food 52 (@food52)

With a tagline that reads, “Eat thoughtfully, live joyfully,” how can one not be attracted to this account? Followed by some of my favorite culinary heavy weights (including Ina Garten, Martha Stewart and others), Food 52 is an account dedicated to stunning food photography, sharing of delicious recipes, as well as educating the interested public about various cooking techniques (and the results that each produce). You can also expect general advice about how to joyfully incorporate fun and delicious recipes into your every day routine.
Prio’s Kitchen (@veganprio)

This is an account run by a digital marketing expert and you will not be surprised once you view this account’s homepage. Images of delectable vegan dishes form the basis of this account, but what it lacks in information, it more than makes up for in visual inspiration for your own homecooked meals.
Healthier Foodie (@healfoodie)
There is beauty in simplicity and this food account exemplifies this ethos perfectly. The Healthier Foodie posts easy to watch (and make!) short cooking videos of healthy and nutritious meals and desserts that will both satisfy and impress. Personally, I love the pleasing neutral aesthetic and good feeling I have every time I visit this page.
Bon Appétit Magazine (@bonappetitmag)

This is the official Instagram account for Bon Appétit magazine, a publication that shares recipes, cooking tips, nutritional information about various ingredients, and so much more. Posts like ‘The Best Aprons According to the Bon Appétit Test Kitchen’ and ‘Anything Cornstarch Can Do, Potato Starch Can Do Better,’ are just two examples of the kind of content you can expect to find on this page. The light-hearted, fun, yet educational approach to cooking and understanding food make this an essential account to follow for every culinary enthusiast.
Tasty (@buzzfeedtasty)

I started following this account during the Pandemic when they were posting short cooking videos. Since then, this account has expanded to include much more than just recipes and cooking videos. Followers can expect to see excellent kitchen tips, updates on culinary trends and lots of product and recipe reviews.
Food Network (@foodnetwork)
This is the official Instagram homepage for the Food Network, which I have been faithfully watching since 2011. Another essential account for all foodies, this account highlights shows airing on the network and provides a great resource for those interested in learning more about cooking.
Dennis Prescott (@dennistheprescott)

I do not follow many professional chefs, but Chef Prescott’s page is just a visual delight. Click here to see what I mean… further explanation will not be required.
Hajar Larbah (@moribyan)
With 1.3 million Instagram followers, it is easy to see this is one of Instagram’s powerhouse food accounts. Sharing delicious Middle Eastern recipes via short cooking videos, Hajar Larbah’s account is an archive of exotic and delicious meals and treats. Follow if you’re a curious chef and love trying different cuisines.
Insider Food (@insiderfood)

This account is the food account of Insider, an account that delivers “global news and fascinating stories to help you digest the world around you.” This mission extends to the Insider food account. Followers can expect a ‘no nonsense’ approach to restaurant reviews and other interesting news from the culinary world.
These are my favorite food accounts on Instagram at the moment. I would love to hear about some of the food accounts you love, so please make sure to share your recommendations in the comment section.
Enjoy!
